Hectic weekend

This weekend was hectic and eventful all in one. On Saturday I went to the end of month kirtan at Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Southall, Park Avenue. The other guys where couldn’t make it so I had to set up. I didn’t realise how much of a mission it was going to be!

First the Vaaja and tabla wasn’t where it should have been some one moved it from the storage so after making phone calls the Gyani ji Said we could use the gurdwara’s Vaja but there wasn’t any table!. I went of to set up the speakers and the projector to only find out I didn’t have the password. Phone up singh got the password but then the projector wouldn’t work! Finally we got started and from some where a table appeared much to my delight. (After sangat done benti a table turned up.)

Finally bhaji Baljivan Singh turned up thank vahiguroo. He sorted out the projector system with apparently must be turned on in a certain order for it to work, screen, Projector then PC otherwise it doesn’t work.

Just as I thought everything was set up I realised I had put the stall out so I quickly ran and set up the stall.

Kirtan was fantastic hopefully we should have audios soon on www.sweetsikhi.com. Bhenji Sukhmani Kaur did simran and ardaas at the end Guroo kirpa program was awesome even thought there was a Rainsbai up north.

Sunday

Yesterday went to gurdwara then shoot of to Southall. I had to present Sweet Sikhi show as others couldn’t make it again. Got to the show and thankfully a Hardip bhaji turned up. We hardly knew the controls so had a quick crash course of 30 seconds before we started. That was nerve raking thankfully we didn’t recive any complaints, lol.

In the second half of the show Bhenji Navleen Kaur turned up with Bhaji Pardeep Singh who was going to be interviewed on the water crisis and Panjab as a whole with regards to the issue of it turning to a desert by 2025. The show was full of mixed emotions scarry that this was happening and nothing being done, imagine Panjab being the next Somalia easy enough for us living in the west to just say its not our problem.

The show was a real eye opener, again will be on www.SweetSikhi.com real soon. For more information on the water crisis in Panjab see: www.witness84.com.

We finished the show at 8 got home just after 10pm, thankfully got the bus and train on time other wise would have been later.

P.S. I played a simran Track on the show and people been asking who its by. Its by Acapella Jatha and you can listen below and download it.
